Job Overview

As a Product Owner at Trajector, you will be responsible for maximizing value delivered by the engineering team by translating strategic priorities into detailed, actionable work. You will serve as the critical link between Product Management and Engineering, ensuring requirements, effective sprint execution and continuous delivery of customer value. Maximize the business value of engineering outputs, groom and prioritize the product backlog, define detailed business and technical requirements, create clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria, leads the estimation process based on team capacity, facilitate sprint planning and monitor burndown metrics, accept completed stories to ensure they meet the definition of done, act as the liaison between Product Management and Engineering.

  • Competitive compensation ranging from $85,000 - $100,000 per year with total compensation ranging from $95,000 - $120,000.

Responsibilities

  • Strong focus on prioritization, clarity and backlog management. 

  • Analyze team performance and identify opportunities for optimization. 

  • Facilitate clear communication between development teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment. 

  • Plan and lead agile ceremonies including sprints, standups, reviews and retrospectives. 

  • Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria. 

  • Drive continuous product improvement through iterative development.  

  • Monitor market trends, conduct competitive analysis and gather customer feedback.

  • Translate insights into actionable backlog items. 

  • Proactively identify and remove team impediments or blockers. 

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).  
  • Experience working with finance systems; familiarity with Oracle a plus.
  • Experience managing the QA process. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams across multiple time zones. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Experience in cloud-based and DevOps environments.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. 
  • Minimum internet speed of 25 Download/10 Upload.
