Job Overview

Seeking Experienced Litigation Attorney with at least 10+ years trial experience, with a preference for experience in litigation in federal court and/or Lanham Act claims. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney to manage complex federal business litigation matters, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex federal business litigation matters from inception through resolution, ensuring adherence to internal policies and legal strategy.
  • Leverage existing trial experience to strategically prepare for and participate in all phases of trial.
  • Prepare and defend corporate representatives and witnesses for depositions, and assist with taking depositions as needed.
  • Drafting and review of sophisticated legal motions, briefs, pleadings, and other court documents.
  • Actively manage and oversee outside counsel, ensuring efficient and effective representation, adherence to budgets, and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Implement and execute legal directives and strategies provided by the Board of Directors and senior executive leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis, providing well-reasoned legal advice to various internal departments.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, business units, compliance department and others.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments relevant to the industry and to specific litigation and advise the company on potential impacts.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in navigating complex federal court procedures and substantive law including discovery, deposition, law and motion practice, independent case handling, and trial preparation.
  • Proven trial experience in federal court.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing membership in a state bar. 
  • Experience in drafting, formatting and arguing disposition motions, responses and various other pleadings.
  • Taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, verbal communication and research skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a remote team, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
