For this position specifically, AnchorSix is looking for someone that has the desire to join a fast-growing company. vCIO means something different at various technology companies. At AnchorSix this role executes on all proactive client strategy activities, including quarterly technology assessments, development of IT budgets, business IT process reviews, and vendor management. Most importantly, there are no sales objectives. This is not a sales role. We are looking for someone with strong technical background that is driven to provide meaningful guidance to our clients and their IT. Candidate should be local to our offices in American Fork, UT.

About Our Perks, Compensation, & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation ranging from $120,000 - $135,000 per year with total compensation ranging from $150,000 - $172,000.

Responsibilities

  • Own the client relationship (retention/renewals) and overall direction of the client’s IT.
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of company technology, products, and services.
  • Develop strong relationships with key client contacts, built from consistent interactions.
  • Assist with designing common technical solutions to help solve small to mid-size business challenges.
  • Establish and adhere to best practices solutions designed to keep IT secure and scalable.
  • Perform sales engineering in tandem with sales team for new client leads (managed services, projects, etc.)
  • Coordinate with project manager and service team on client projects.
  • Contribute to the perpetual enhancement of internal documentation frameworks and standard operating procedures.
  • Explain complex technical information to clients in a way that’s easily understandable.
  • Research new solutions and stay up to date on current IT trends and systems.
  • Analyze customers’ needs and suggest upgrades or additional features to meet their requirements.

Qualifications

That being said, there's always a lot to consider when we bring someone on to our team. There are some things we are specifically looking for:

  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a related position.
  • Ability to relate to clients and speak to non-technical end users.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Team player, ready to dive into a diverse team of talented people.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Creative thinking in a wide variety of challenges.
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.
  • Ability to handle client escalations and issues appropriately.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
  • Goal driven and interested in growth.
  • Great writing skills for end-user communication as well as documentation of actions.
  • Understand basic troubleshooting (cause/effect, following-the-chain) when there is no process.
  • Strong attention to detail when creating quotes and design builds for clients.
  • Familiarity with vendor management processes.
  • Having worked within an issue tracking (ticketing) system in the past. Experience with ConnectWise Manage is a strong plus.
  • Experience at a Managed Service Provider or other outsourced IT firm highly desired.
