Job Overview

The Projects Team Specialist will play a primary role in collecting medical evidence and checking to ensure all documents are accurate and complete. The Specialists will interact with Veterans via client facing phone and email as well as internal team member collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and analyzing information; cross checking and validating information.
  • Entering data, and verifying data for computer processing.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Preparing medical evidence for case arguments, document editing.
  • Verifying forms and documents for accuracy.
  • Preparing written documents and drafting documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain reference files; organizing and tracking case files.
  • Maintain client and document library.
  • Locating and communicating Veteran details and interacting with clients.
  • Making outbound calls and answering inbound calls.
  • Understanding and being HIPAA compliant.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Degree Health Services Administration, Health Sciences or Public Health preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of phone-based customer service experience required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Thorough knowledge of grammar, document creation, APA format techniques and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as computer, printer, copy machine and scanner.
  • Detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible.
  • Ability to multitask and focus on task completion with little direction or need supervisory follow up.
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diverse individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance goal-driven environment.
  • Minimum internet speed of 25 Download/10 Upload.
