Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Telephony Analyst with a proven track record in effectively managing and enhancing telephony systems, particularly demonstrating expertise in the 8x8 communication platform. Adept at overseeing the entire lifecycle of telephony and communication infrastructure, the ideal candidate is poised to make substantial contributions by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems for uninterrupted and efficient communication throughout the organization. Strengths in Telephony Systems Management and 8x8 Communication platform expertise will be key in succeeding in this role. This person will need to leverage hands-on experience exhibiting their deep understanding of telephony systems, ensuring their smooth operation, and proactively addressing any issues that may arise. Proficient in the utilization of cutting-edge tools and technologies to maximize the efficiency and reliability of telecommunication systems. This person will report to and learn from some of the greatest minds in the Information Technology space. This position is remote based out of our Gainesville, Florida corporate office. 

About Our Perks, Compensation, & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation ranging from $70,000 - $85,000 per year with total compensation ranging from $88,000 - $90,000.

Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Configure and maintain telephony systems, with a focus on the 8x8 platform, along with our Email and Chat programs.
  • Ensure proper setup and functionality of telephony hardware, software, and peripherals.


  • Diagnose and resolve telephony-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to address escalated telephony problems.
  • System Optimization:
  • Continuously assess and optimize telephony systems for performance and efficiency.
  • Implement upgrades and updates to enhance system capabilities.

User Support:

  • Provide support to end-users regarding telephony-related queries and issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for users to maximize the benefits of telephony systems.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of telephony configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance telephony services.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telephony systems with other business applications.
  • Work closely with vendors and service providers to address telephony-related issues.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Telephony (Communications) Analyst, with specific expertise in 8x8 communication systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of telephony protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in conducting user training sessions.


  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field/ experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing telephony systems with 8x8 communication platform.

  • Relevant certifications in telephony systems, email systems, and chat programs… especially 8x8 certifications, are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to navigate complex tasks with objectives and resolutions.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as computer, printer, copy machine and scanner.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible.
  • Ability to focus on task completion with little direction or need for supervisory follow up.
  • Actively embraces and makes use of collaborative problem solving, diverse viewpoints, and unique skillsets.
  • Minimum internet speed of 25 Download/10 Upload.
