Job Overview

We are actively exploring AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to help improve our processes and better serve our clients. As we continue on this path, we're eager to bring onboard individuals who are as excited about AI as we are. 

Now, we are looking for a Lead AI Engineer who has hands-on experience with LLMs and AI in real business settings. This remote role will be a key player in our tech team, reporting directly to our VP of Data. We are all about using AI to make real, meaningful changes, and we would love someone who shares that vision to hop on board.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Spearhead the design, development, and deployment of AI and LLM solutions that align with our business goals. 
  • Hands-on Development: Dive into code, scripts, and models. This isn't just a guiding role; you'll be in the thick of it, ensuring everything runs smoothly. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate business challenges into AI-powered solutions. 
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest in AI and LLM advancements. Share knowledge with the team, ensuring we're always at the forefront. 
  • Optimization: Regularly evaluate the performance of models and solutions, making necessary tweaks to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Prototyping: Develop and test new ideas quickly. We value innovation and need someone who's eager to try out new concepts and refine them based on feedback. 
  • Documentation: Ensure that every solution, model, or system is well-documented. This helps in consistency, maintenance, and scaling. 
  • Feedback Integration: Gather insights from the end-users and stakeholders, using this feedback to refine and improve AI-driven tools and processes. 
  • Scalability: Design solutions keeping growth in mind. We're expanding, and our AI capabilities need to scale smoothly with our growth. 
  • Ethical AI Practices: Ensure that all AI solutions are developed and maintained ethically, respecting user data and privacy. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 Years' related experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Strong Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and GPT-based models. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. 
  • Real-world Experience: Demonstrable experience applying AI and LLMs in business contexts, translating complex problems into AI-driven solutions. 
  • Coding Expertise: Proficient in Python, and comfortable with languages like Java or C++. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. 
  • Data Manipulation: Strong skills in handling and processing data, using tools like Pandas, SQL, and data warehousing solutions. 
  • Problem-solving: Ability to dissect complex problems, propose effective strategies, and see solutions through to completion. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts in clear, plain language. 
  • Collaborative Spirit: Team player attitude, eager to work alongside different departments and understand their needs. 
  • Continuous Learner: Keen interest in staying updated with the latest in AI and related technologies. Proactive in upskilling and sharing knowledge. 
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 
  • Ethical Considerations: Awareness of ethical considerations in AI and commitment to developing unbiased, fair, and transparent AI models. 
  • Performance Tuning: Experience in model optimization, ensuring that solutions are efficient in real-world scenarios.
